Brixton Windmill

My foundation show has just opened at Camberwell, here's a few of the things you might have seen. I've also posted up a couple of projects from the foundation and I'm going to use the blog to share some of the weird and hopefully wonderful drawings and illustrations that happen in the future.

Post-It

A short project, using those wonderful sticky squares.

Conversation Drawings

In December last year, I was the production designer for Vakomana Vaviri Ve Zimbabwe (or Two Gentlemen of Verona) at the Oval House Theatre. The two actors drew on their experiences of growing up in Zimbabwe and during rehearsals, we did a nice little project which involved sitting down with pencils and biscuits and describing places from home. I then redrew and screenprinted the initial sketches, trying to piece together someone else's experience using the things that were familiar to me. These are the strange landscapes that came out of that gap in communication.

The one above was actually done with my friend Miguel...I also had a go at making a pop-up.

Two Gents Productions have just done a residency in Harare and have lots of exciting things coming up, here's a link to their website.

The Little Mermaid

These are two images from a series I did illustrating the fairy tale The Little Mermaid set in the Barbican.
